On February 18th, Iraqi-Palestinian author, Saleem Haddad, celebrated the UK release of his latest novel, ‘Floodlines’, with a conversation with the 2023 Desmond Elliot Residency prize winner, Santanu Bhattacharya, at Waterstones bookshop.

At its heart, Floodlines is a novel about the Iraqi lived experience, navigating themes of grief, memory and identity, while charting the emotional aftershocks of a century shaped by war and revolution in Iraq and beyond.
