From all across Iraq, and the northern Kurdish region, over 100 young people have participated in a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about responsible water consumption, working closely with local water departments.
The volunteers conducted a comprehensive field survey that reached over 1,700 families, studying patterns of water use and promoting simple, practical steps to conserve this vital resource.
The collected results will be used to inform future water management strategies, supporting efforts to ensure that children across Iraq have access to safe, clean water.
The efforts of these men and women reflect the growing sense of responsibility for sustainability and conservation shared by young people in Iraq.
The UNICEF led initiative helps to highlight Iraq’s commitment to sustainable development and the central role of young people in driving impactful environmental change.
