Qatar Airways Reopens Passenger Services to Major Iraqi Cities

Qatar Airways has resumed passenger flights to Iraq, restoring services to Baghdad, Basra and Erbil following the airline’s recent announcement of services returning across the Middle East.

Qatar Airways temporarily halted flights to Iraq at the end of February amid regional tensions and airspace restrictions affecting several Middle Eastern countries.

The carrier also restarted cargo operations to Baghdad earlier this month to support freight movement and regional trade links.

Qatar airways said the move is part of a phased restoration of its network which is expected to expand to more than 150 destinations worldwide by mid-June. The airline advised passengers to check schedules regularly noting that flight timings may remain subject to operational or regulatory changes.
