The Ministry of Youth and Sports showcased its three-year journey of progress at the 26th annual Baghdad International Book Fair, with a special focus on its ‘Iqraa’ (Read) initiative.
Acting Director General of the Department of Youth Culture and Arts, Dr. Muwaffaq Abdul Wahab, announced that the Ministry is presenting its achievements from 2023-2025, via a large digital display inside its pavilion. The visual display gives visitors a clear view of the Ministry’s key moments in culture and youth development.
At the heart of the exhibit was the ‘Iqraa’ youth initiative, which offers free ‘Read’ cards, valued at 25,000 Iraqi dinars, allowing young visitors to purchase books of their choice, cultivating a culture of reading and learning.
The Ministry continues to encourage a deeper community surrounding knowledge exchange and shared love of literature.
