The Health Control Division of the First Kut Sector, under the Wasit Health Department, has continued its series of field visits aimed at monitoring the safety of drinking water across the region.
As part of its routine inspection campaign, health teams visited several water facilities within the sector’s jurisdiction to assess water quality and ensure its compliance with public health standards. Officials reported that the teams measured levels of free residual chlorine (a key indicator of water disinfection) and closely monitored for any negative signs that could impact water safety or public health.
During the visits, authorities also emphasised the importance of preventive health measures, including verifying that facility workers hold valid health cards and official medical certificates. These checks are essential in preventing contamination and safeguarding community health.
This initiative is one of many periodic visits led by the Health Control Division to ensure clean and safe drinking water, reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, and uphold environmental health standards in the governorate.
