Uzbekistan, Iraq Hold Investment and Business Forum

The Uzbek–Iraqi Investment and Business Forum  held in Samarkand brought together more than 400 business representatives and officials from both countries to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

The forum was organised with the participation of senior officials from relevant ministries and government agencies, alongside representatives of chambers of commerce, industry bodies, and sectoral associations, in line with directives aimed at expanding access to foreign markets, increasing export volumes, and enhancing industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and its partner countries, including Iraq.

Discussions focused on turning business contacts into concrete trade and investment projects, with emphasis on strengthening business to business links, exchanging trade missions and developing joint initiatives.

The forum concluded with a series of B2B meetings, during which companies examined specific areas of cooperation, and several agreements and contracts were signed to support joint projects and expand economic relations between Uzbekistan and Iraq.
