The Ministry of Migration and Displacement has initiated measures to support the large number of displaced families in Dohuk who wish to return voluntarily.
In a statement, the ministry highlighted the positive response from families eager to return to their original homes, a development that brings relief to all Iraqis, signifying better times. To accommodate this influx, the ministry’s staff in Dohuk are actively registering families and have observed a significant increase in interest over the past two days.
While the ministry aimed to visit camps directly for registrations, regional restrictions prevented this. Instead, they are enhancing their efforts by extending working hours and adding evening shifts to ensure all families are served promptly.
Updates on the development of returns will be detailed on the ministry’s website and official social media pages, ensuring that displaced families receive the support they need for a smooth return.
