The final operation of the Salahaddin/3 refinery in northern Iraq has been successfully completed, producing 70,000 barrels per day, the Ministry of Petroleum announced on Monday.
The refinery’s output has been delivered to storage facilities in preparation for local distribution and potential exports, meeting approved specifications for a range of oil derivatives.
Ministry officials described the achievement as part of strategic plans to enhance Iraq’s refining capacity, improve self sufficiency in oil products, and support the local market. The project was implemented under the government’s energy program and executed by the North Refinery Company.
