Ramadan Food Bank Introduced in Iraq By the Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Culture’s Dar Al-Mamoun for Translation and Publishing has launched today, 23 February, this year’s first edition of its quarterly English magazine, Gilgamesh, with a focus on the various Iraqi Women’s days celebrated in March.

 The new digital edition dedicated a section highlighting the role of Iraqi women in society as well as prominent Iraqi women, with the cover picture featuring Iraq table tennis champion Nagla Emad.

Iraq dedicates various days in March to celebrate Iraq women, including National Women’s Day on 3 March, International Women’s Day on 8 march, and mothers’ day on 21 March.

Gilgamesh’s latest edition also includes articles on identity, history, and arts, as well as a review of the award-winning play, Phobia, by director Hussein Al-Thahabi.
