PHOTOS: US Ambassador attends opening of Iraq’s first Cinnabon store

Cinnabon, the American bakery chain opened its first store in Iraq this week, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the United States Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski. The opening of the Cinnabon store marks another step in the expansion of foreign businesses into the Gulf nation.

The new store, located in Baghdad’s Al-Jadiriyah district, a stone’s throw from Baghdad University is expected to provide a boost to the local economy and create job opportunities for the Iraqi people. In addition to offering a range of freshly-baked cinnamon rolls, Cinnabon will also be serving coffee and other snacks.

The US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, expressed her enthusiasm for the opening of the new store by attending the opening, as seen in images exclusive to the Iraq International News Agency.
