The Northern Fertilizers General Corporation, part of Iraq’s Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has begun construction of a compound fertiliser factory in Baiji, the company announced on Tuesday.
The project, carried out in cooperation with ARJ of the United Arab Emirates, has entered the phase of foundation digging and soil preparation, including the construction of management offices, laboratories, warehouses, and support facilities.
The project is to increase local fertiliser production, supporting Iraq’s agricultural sector, and adhering to approved technical specifications and timelines.
