Under the supervision of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubarraq, it has been announced that the second edition of the Al-Mudheef Theatre Festival is due to take place this December.
Al-Mudheef Theatre represents a fresh artistic experiment, aimed at strengthening young Iraqi’s sense of identity through theatre, and creating a space for young artists to express themselves.
In preparation for the new edition, the festival’s selection committee has been touring the governorates of Maysan, Basra, Dhi Qar and Wasit, reviewing performances by young, local talents and engaging in discussion on artistic reform and performance style.
This initiative is part of a broader mission to empower young creatives and incorporate art into Iraq’s cultural development.
