Mosul International Airport, located in Iraq’s northern region, has officially reopened following months of extensive reconstruction.
The reopening was marked by a formal ceremony, celebrating a big step forward in the city of Nineveh’s recovery and development.
The airport, once a vital transport hub, had remained closed for years. Its return to operation is now regarded as a strategic milestone, expected to revitalise the region’s air transport sector and reshape economic and tourism growth in Iraq.
Within the coming months, the airport will begin welcoming domestic and international flights.
