Iraq’s Ministry of Oil, under the guidance of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Suwad, participated in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2025, a leading global event for oil, gas, and energy.
The delegation included senior officials such as Legal and Administrative Adviser Hamdan Owejel, Director General of Oil Exploration Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, and heads of planning, contracts, and training departments.
During the conference, the team explored the latest technologies in exploration, production, refining, and renewable energy. They engaged with international companies keen to invest in Iraq’s oil and gas sector, attracted by its promising investment climate and opportunities for technology transfer.
The ministry emphasised that engagement at ADIPEC supports Iraq’s broader vision of increasing production efficiency, promoting sustainable energy, and strengthening international partnerships.
