Iraq’s Ancient Ur and Marshes Featured in Tourism Tour

The Iraqi Tourism Authority / Tourist Groups Department has organised a group tour experience, featuring the ancient city of Ur and the Marshes region, as part of collaborative efforts to boost domestic tourism in Iraq.

The tour included landmarks of the most prominent historical landmarks of the city of Ur, one of the oldest archaeological sites in the world, in addition to exploring the captivating natural scenery in the Marshes. 

This tour, according to The National Office, is due to be part of a series of tours across the various provinces of Iraq, in a bid to boost domestic tourism activity and highlight a variety of Iraqi tourist destinations.
