The Iraqi Swimming and Water Sports Federation has confirmed that the Iraqi water jumping team will particiapte in the World Aquatics Championships in July, in Singapore.
The team’s participation marks a significant milestone for Iraqi aquatic sports, as they prepare to compete at the prestigious global event. The 22nd edition of the World Aquatics Championships will take place from 11th July to 3rd August, a competition that unites more than 2,500 athletes across six aquatic disciplines.
Officials say the announcement comes ahead of the event’s high diving competition dates, and reflects ongoing efforts to elevate Iraq’s presence in world class aquatic sports through the Iraq Federation’s support and training initiatives.
Iraq’s participation is already stirring national pride, underscoring the country’s desire to expand its international sporting footstep following years of conflict and rebuilding.
