The Iraqi Maritime Authority has confirmed that Iraqi vessels and their crews remain safe despite esclating regional conflict affecting key international shipping routes.
Ahmed Jassim Al-Assadi, Director General of Marine Transportation, stated that all ships are fully monitored and emergency plans are in place to ensure the highest levels of crew safety and operational readiness.
Maritime authorities continue to monitor key shipping lanes closely, prompting shipping firms to reassess routes and review safety and security protocols. Strategic waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz, are subject to continuous observation to ensure smooth and secure maritime operations.
