Iraqi Fashion House Strengthens Cultural Cooperation

Social organisation ‘Weavers of the Land’ visit the Iraqi Fashion House to launch collaborative cultural partnerships.

Iraqi social organisation ‘Weavers of the Land’, who specialise in economic empowerment and training in the field of fashion, met with the Director General of the Iraqi Fashion House to discuss ways of joint collaboration from both groups, with a shared aim of expertise exchange, and enhanced training and development.

Some of the items discussed were the ‘Threads of Transformation’ initiative, implemented by the ‘Weavers of the Land’ foundation, which works to train promising talents in the field of fashion, in addition to the upcoming ‘My Inspiration’ fashion show, in collaboration with the French Cultural Institute in Baghdad. 

The visit included a tour of the halls and departments of the art house, to view the costumes of a recent show, featuring Mesopotamian civilisation era costumes.
