Iraqi Airways Expands Network in Turkey with Flights to Trabzon

Iraqi Airways is set to expand its international connectivity by launching direct flights from Baghdad to Trabzon, Turkey. Starting on 23rd May 2025, the airline will operate weekly services every Friday, offering passengers a  journey to one of Turkey’s most scenic cities.

The introduction of direct flights is part of Iraqi Airways’ strategy to broaden its international aviation network to meet the growning demand for travel  from Baghdad.

By offering direct connections, the airline reduces travel time, providing more convenient options for tourists and the Iraqi diaspora looking to explore Turkish cities.

Adding Trabzon to the list of destinations that Iraqi Airways flies to is also expected to strengthen tourism links between Iraq and Turkey, deepening cultural ties and promoting economic collaboration.
