Iraq-US Talks Focus On Economic And Security Ties

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met on Wednesday with the United States Chargé d’Affaires to Iraq, Joshua Harris, to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting focused on ways to develop and expand ties across a range of sectors, with particular emphasis on economic cooperation, investment opportunities and development initiatives that serve the mutual interests of both nations.

The two sides also reviewed regional and international developments, stressing the importance of continued coordination and dialogue to address shared challenges. Discussions highlighted the role of diplomatic engagement in resolving disputes and reinforcing security and stability across the region.

Officials said the talks form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Washington amid broader regional and global challenges.
