Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met in Abu Dhabi with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Sultan Al Jaber, to discuss expanding cooperation between the two countries.
The talks, attended by the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, focused on energy and petrochemicals, as well as renewable energy initiatives.
Key points included advancing Masdar’s project to generate 1,000 megawatts of solar power in Iraq and developing environmentally friendly petrochemical industries. Both sides also reviewed broader economic cooperation, including the Development Road project that links Iraq with regional partners.
Al-Sudani stressed Iraq’s commitment to strengthening strategic ties with the UAE and other regional partners to support sustainable growth, diversify the economy, and reinforce Iraq’s position in the energy sector.
