Iraq, UAE Leaders Meet to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to review bilateral relations and opportunities to advance them across fields of shared interest.

Talks centred on enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, and transportation, including collaboration on the Development Road project within the framework of the quadrilateral agreement.

The two leaders also addressed regional developments, emphasising the importance of supporting stability, preventing the spread of conflict, and reducing causes of escalation.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq’s commitment to fostering strong relations with the UAE, consistent with the government’s policy of openness to partnerships with both brotherly and friendly countries.

President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed praised Iraq’s efforts in development and reconstruction, while underscoring Baghdad’s role in strengthening regional stability and contributing to international security.
