Iraq’s General Company for Automotive and Equipment Industry, part of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has signed a partnership agreement with Iraqi and Emirati companies to establish an integrated system for assembling, producing and marketing various types of vehicles.
The project will include buses, small vans, saloon cars, trucks and specialised equipment, alongside technical cooperation with international automotive manufacturers.
General Manager Engineer Dana Saadullah Saeed said the agreement advances government plans to localise industry and cut import dependence, describing the partnership as a major step toward expanding domestic vehicle manufacturing and attracting new industrial investment.
