Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani chaired a high-level meeting today to discuss the ongoing development of Iraq’s oil derivatives industry and ways to boost investment mechanisms in the sector.

The meeting brought together senior officials, including advisors to the Prime Minister, the Director General of the State Oil Marketing Organisation, and the Director General of Investments at the Ministry of Electricity.
The talks focused on boosting oil derivative production and marketing. As part of ongoing government projects aimed at increasing revenues, reducing import reliance, and driving local growth the officials also discussed improving electricity payment systems to ensure a stable supply for citizens and industry.
