Wrapping up a three-day event held at the Excel Centre in London, the Iraqi tourism sector has made a strong impression at the 45th edition of the World Travel Market.
Running from the 4th-6th November, the event attracted over 45,000 travel professionals from across the globe.
The Iraqi stand, led by the Iraqi Tourism Authority, and built in the likeness of the Gates of Babylon, showcased a shared vision for rebranding Iraq’s image as a warm and culturally rich destination. Alongside the Tourism Authority were several Iraqi tour operators, including Bil Weekend, World Gate Iraq, and Babylon Holiday- who specialise in outbound trips for Iraqi nationals, connecting them to the world. The stand also featured contributions from leading Iraqi hotel chains such as Al Mansour, and Ashur Hotels.
The World Travel Market is one of the largest international gatherings for the tourism industry, connecting exhibitors from around the globe.
For Iraq, its growing presence at events like this highlights the nation’s growing determination to open its doors to travellers seeking authentic hospitality, history and adventure.
