Minister of Finance Taif Sami received a group of Members of Parliament today at the ministry’s headquarters to discuss ongoing financial and economic challenges, in a step aimed at strengthening coordination between Iraq’s executive and legislative branches.
The discussion focused on several key issues, including the implementation of service projects in various governorates, financial entitlements for specific segments of the population, and strategies to maintain fiscal stability and encourage economic development.
Minister Sami stressed the importance of staying in close contact with elected representatives to make sure government policies reflect the real needs of the people. She also assured that all financial initiatives would be carried out transparently, within legal frameworks and according to high professional standards.
Parliamentarians expressed their support for constructive dialogue with the Ministry of Finance and underscored the importance of joint efforts to accelerate development programmes and meet the demands of their constituencies.
The meeting is part of a wider government effort to make policymaking more inclusive, with lawmakers playing an active role in shaping Iraq’s economic path forward.
