Iraq Leads Türkiye’s Food Export Markets in 2025

Iraq ranked first among countries importing agricultural products, food, and beverages from Türkiye in 2025, reflecting the continued expansion of trade relations and growing economic cooperation between the two neighbors.

According to data released by the Federation of Food and Drink Industry Associations of Türkiye (TGDF), Turkish exports of agricultural and food products to Iraq reached $2.99 billion during the first eleven months of 2025, placing Iraq at the top of all destination markets.

Iraq’s leading position highlights the strength of commercial ties between Ankara and Baghdad, as well as Iraq’s growing role as a key market for Turkish food and agricultural products. TGDF noted that the Iraqi market remains central to supporting bilateral trade and deepening economic cooperation between the two countries.

Imports from Türkiye continue to play an important role in supplying the Iraqi market and offering a wide range of products to consumers, underscoring the high level of trust between producers and importers on both sides.

With expectations that trade between Türkiye and Iraq will continue to expand in 2026, additional opportunities are emerging to further strengthen cooperation in food processing, agricultural investment, and joint projects, reinforcing long-term economic integration between the two countries.
