Iraq, Germany Discuss Economic and Security Cooperation

Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, received German Minister of State Andreas von Guer and his delegation on Tuesday,  to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and security collaboration.

The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties following recent visits by German business delegations to Iraq, and explored opportunities for future technical and investment cooperation. Both sides also discussed ways Germany can support Iraq in addressing climate challenges and other development priorities.
