With Iraqis across the globe still celebrating their recent, historic win at the World Cup 2026 qualifying match, click here to read more, the Iraq Football Association has unveiled their lineup for international friendlies.
Due to embark on an international tour across parts of North America and Europe, the Lions of Mesopotamia the matches will take place between April and June, 2026. Their purpose is to hone and refine the teams skills in the lead up to their first official WC game, against Norway, on June 16th at Boston Stadium, Massachusetts, USA.
The next phase combines European tactical trials and African physical tests, anchored by a high-performance training camp in Spain.
