Iraq, Bulgaria Expand Land Transport Cooperation

The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Sofia, Dr Haidar Haqi Al-Buraihi, held talks with the Executive Director of Bulgaria’s Land Transport Authority, Mr Slav Monov, on strengthening bilateral relations, with a particular focus on facilitating the transport of goods to and from Iraq.

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Land Transport Authority, addressed mechanisms to improve trade flows and streamline procedures, in a way that supports commercial exchange and expands economic cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions form part of Iraq’s broader diplomatic efforts to enhance international partnerships and promote cooperation in the transport sector, which is regarded as a key pillar for strengthening trade relations and creating new opportunities for businesses and investors in both friendly nations.
