Iraq and Qatar Discuss Agricultural and Municipal Cooperation

The Iraqi Ambassador to Qatar has met the Qatari Minister of Municipality to discuss strengthening cooperation in agriculture, food security and municipal services.

Mohammed Jaafar al-Sadr met Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah in Doha, and both sides stressed the importance of expanding bilateral ties.

According to the Iraqi embassy, discussions focused on finalising a memorandum of understanding on agricultural cooperation and food security, as well as activating joint meetings between the Baghdad Mayoralty and Doha Municipality ahead of a proposed twinning agreement.

The Qatari minister welcomed closer cooperation and expressed readiness to pursue practical projects and technical collaboration in areas of shared interest.
