The General Company for Maritime Transport received an official delegation from the International Trade Centre (ITC), affiliated with the United Nations system, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the areas of trade facilitation, digital transformation, and institutional capacity building, aimed at enhancing the company’s competitiveness and its role within the international trading system.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Transport, the visiting delegation met with the company’s management, during which ways to develop institutional performance and support modernisation efforts in service of the national economy were discussed.
The General Company for Maritime Transport, the statement said, reaffirmed its commitment to openness and cooperation with international organisations and to benefiting from their technical and professional expertise to improve institutional efficiency and strengthen its role in the maritime transport sector.
The ITC delegation included officials and experts specialising in trade facilitation, digital transformation, and trade policy.
