British-Iraqi author Dalia al-Dujaili hosted an event at London’s San Mei Gallery to celebrate the release of her first book, ‘Babylon, Albion: A Personal History of Myth and Migration.’
Part memoir, part myth, part ecological mediation, ‘Babylon, Albion’ weaves together a personal narrative with broader reflections on migration, mythology and the natural world.
Shahed Ezaydi, journalist and fellow writer, led an engaging interview, guiding Dalia through the themes explored in her book. The discussion provided deep insight into the ideas and motivations behind ‘Babylon, Albion’, ranging from issues of cultural belonging and personal identity to our relationship as humans with nature.

After bringing together a diverse group of people, from readers to journalists alike, the afternoon closed with a book signing by Dalia, where she and guests connected one-to-one, exchanging conversations.
Babylon, Albion is currently available for purchase worldwide, offering readers a powerful written reflection on belonging, migration and self-identity.
