Human Rights Department Hosts Youth Seminar at Music Institute

In a collaborative effort aimed at fostering positive youth behaviour, the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, in partnership with the Institute of Musical Studies and the Mansour Community Police Division, hosted an enlightening awareness seminar on the impact of social media on youth behaviour. The event, titled “Youth Behaviour and Its Impact from Social Media,” took place in the serene courtyard of the Institute of Musical Studies.

The seminar kicked off with a comprehensive lecture by Lieutenant Colonel Moyad Hadi Khlef, the Head of the Mansour Police Division. During his talk, he shared critical insights on the influence of social media platforms on young people’s attitudes and actions. He specifically warned students about the potential dangers of online interactions and the importance of responsible social media usage, emphasising that digital behaviour can have lasting consequences on one’s personal and social life.

In addition to the police division’s input, Ms. Alaa Saadoun, the Director of the Human Rights Department, delivered a cultural lecture aimed at raising awareness among the youth. She encouraged attendees to adopt positive behaviours that reflect strong moral values, while also stressing the importance of understanding human rights in the context of modern society. Her address resonated deeply with the students, offering them tools to navigate challenges and maintain healthy, respectful relationships both online and offline.

The seminar concluded on a harmonious note, as the director of the Institute of Musical Studies, artist Ali Hassan, treated the guests to a captivating musical performance. His performance served as a warm and welcoming gesture, bringing the event to a close on an uplifting and positive note.
