Diwaniyah Health Teams Vaccinate Vulnerable Children

The Al-Sudair Health Center, affiliated with the Al-Hamza Sector of the Diwaniyah Health Department, recently conducted a field campaign aimed at vaccinating children who had missed their routine vaccinations.

The campaign took place in the Murshid area, where medical teams worked to identify and vaccinate children who had dropped out of scheduled immunisation programmes. As a result of these efforts, 33 children received vaccinations, helping to bridge gaps in routine healthcare coverage.

Alongside the vaccination drive, the health centre also carried out awareness-raising activities to encourage parents to maintain their children’s vaccination schedules. These initiatives aimed to educate families on the importance of routine immunisation in preventing communicable diseases.

This campaign reflects the continued efforts of the Al-Hamza Sector and the Diwaniyah Health Department to safeguard public health, particularly among vulnerable communities. By proactively reaching out to families in remote areas, the Al-Sudair Health Center is helping to reduce the risk of vaccine-preventable illnesses and promoting a healthier future for the region’s children.

The success of this campaign underscores the importance of local health initiatives in addressing public health challenges and fostering community awareness about the critical role of vaccinations.
