Dar Al-Ma’moon and French Cultural Attaché Discuss Cooperation

The General Director of Dar Al-Ma’moon for Translation and Publishing, Ms. Ishraq Abdul Adil, received a delegation from the French Cultural Attaché on Sunday. The delegation included Mr. Munir Slimani, Cultural Affairs Counselor at the French Embassy, and translator Mouaffaq Al-Razi. The meeting focused on exploring prospects for cultural and translation collaboration.

During the meeting, both sides discussed several proposals, including the translation of selected French titles in the fields of history and literature, as well as strengthening cooperation with the French Cultural Institute to organize specialized courses in translation and French-language journalistic editing.

The Cultural Affairs Counselor expressed his pleasure at the visit and praised the cultural role played by Dar Al-Ma’moon in the field of translation and cultural exchange.

The delegation concluded its visit with a tour of the institution’s departments, including the Translation Training Center and its publications. The General Director also presented the delegation with a selection of the institution’s latest publications as a gesture to reinforce joint cooperation.
