Dr. Ali Al-Moayyed, Head of the Communications and Media Commission (CMC) Authority, emphasised that Iraq’s ongoing digital transformation, discussed at the DTI Youth Digital Transformation Forum in Baghdad, is poised to significantly impact the country’s future. The event, supported by the Prime Minister, highlighted the government’s and state institutions’ deep commitment to this transition. Dr. Al-Moayyed stressed the necessity of a strong public-private partnership to achieve success in this field.
The outcome of these efforts is expected to be a more regulated and efficient telecommunications, media, and information technology sector, drawing from global best practices. The CMC is also focused on empowering Iraqi youth, viewing them as key drivers of this transformation. By fostering a culture of optimal technology use and ensuring a supportive legislative environment, Iraq aims to accelerate its digital advancements, thereby safeguarding society against digital threats like fraud and data theft.
