The Central Bank’s Centre for Banking Studies has initiated various partnerships with international organisations to support the centre’s role in Iraq’s banking reform according to international standards.
This included regional and international financial, and training institutes such as The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, The Egyptian and Jordanian Institutes of Banking Studies, the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), and Frankfurt University.
The centre’s Director General, Dr. Mustafa Munir, announced the new cooperation frameworks with the successful completion of the 2025 training plan, which included accredited professional certificates, short, specialised courses, and specialised workshops aimed at bank employees as well as government and private financial institutions across Iraq.
