The Etihad Company in Babil Governorate has commenced the implementation of three new industrial plants dedicated to producing electrical transformers, power cables, and smart meters. These facilities are set to enhance Iraq’s energy infrastructure and support the growth of the local industrial sector.
The projects aim to reduce reliance on imported electrical equipment while creating new job opportunities for the region’s workforce. This development forms part of ongoing efforts to modernise Iraq’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its energy sector.
