Announcement: Partnership Between Iraq Expo OGEP and IINA

The Iraq International News Agency (IINA) has entered into a media partnership with Iraq Expo OGEP- International Exhibition for Oil, Gas, Energy and Petrochemicals Exhibition, establishing cooperation in media coverage and communications for the upcoming exhibition.

The 3rd edition of Iraq Expo OGEP will take place from 12 to 15 April 2026 at the Basra International Fairground. The organisation serves as a platform for industry professionals, investors, and government institutions to showcase innovations, exchange expertise, and develop partnerships across Iraq’s oil, gas, energy, and petrochemical sectors.

Under this collaboration, IINA will provide news coverage and media support related to Iraq Expo OGEP, focusing on developments, participation, and key discussions within the oil, gas, and energy sectors. The partnership aims to support the engagement between industry stakeholders, policymakers, and international participants before, during, and after the exhibition.

Defne Mercan Hocaoglu, International Relations Coordinator at IINA, states: “OGEP Expo represents an important platform for supporting the development of Iraq’s energy sector and the wider economy. At IINA, we value this partnership and see it as part of our role in promoting initiatives that contribute to sustainable growth and investment in Iraq.”

GET Events, the event organiser, highlighted the importance of the exhibition in supporting dialogue and cooperation within Iraq’s oil, gas, and energy sectors. Iraq Expo OGEP is expected to bring together local and international stakeholders active across Iraq in April this year.
