Iraqi Airways flights from Iraq to China

The national carrier, Iraqi Airways, has announced that it will soon start direct flights from Iraq to mainland China.

Starting July 6th, 2024, Iraqi Airways will launch a new route connecting Baghdad and Beijing, with a stopover in Basra. This service will be operated twice weekly, providing a significant boost to travel options between Iraq and China. The flights will utilise the modern Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, ensuring a comfortable and efficient journey for passengers. Additionally, from July 7th, 2024, Iraqi Airways will also increase its flights to Guangzhou, China, to twice a week, operating every Sunday and Wednesday. These new routes highlight Iraqi Airways’ commitment to expanding its international reach and enhancing connectivity for travelers. The introduction of these services reflects the growing demand for travel between the Middle East and East Asia, particularly as Sino-Iraqi relations grow, offering passengers more flexibility and convenience.
