The Gardens of Abu Nuwas in the heart of Baghdad hosted the eighth edition of the “Baghdad Kite Festival,” held under the slogan “Yalla Baghdad.” The event drew thousands of families and young people, filling the riverside park with a lively and festive atmosphere.
The festival featured live musical performances by youth bands and emerging Iraqi artists, alongside a variety of awareness and entertainment activities. Exhibition booths offered young people a platform to showcase their talents and sell handmade and creative products, adding an economic dimension that supported local innovation and entrepreneurship.
Held annually for several years, the festival aims to promote coexistence and peace, providing a safe, open space for cultural and artistic expression in the capital.
The “Baghdad Kite Festival” has become one of the city’s most prominent cultural events. It reflects the vibrancy of Baghdad’s social fabric and the growing importance of empowering youth through art, music, and entrepreneurship.
