Najaf – (iina) The Wadi Al-Salam Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Iraq where millions of Iraqi Muslims are peacefully rested. There are many important figures buried there, including kings, sultans and princes. The cemetery is located at a very close distance from the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali bin Abu Talib in Najaf, who was the cousin and son-in-law of prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Each tomb is made of bricks and it is completed with Arabic calligraphy to commemorate the deaths of the individuals.
