Raising Awareness on Climate Change and Wildlife in Iraq

Climate change has been an ongoing issue in Iraq causing water shortages and weather changes. Mahdi Laith, an Iraqi Environmental Activist, is advocating to raise awareness of climate change and the mistreatment of wildlife animals, especially reptiles.

People of Iraq have not received a crucial education on the importance of preserving the environment, and how much it impacts the country and its resources. Also, Iraq is a very historical country with monuments that need to be conserved, so spreading knowledge and awareness on climate change is urgent.

Mahdi joined the Iraq Climate Organisation to explore the ways to have an Iraq with cleaner water allowing the wildlife to also live longer. In addition to that, he started daily publications on animals and the injustice they face, such as illegal trade and hunting.
