Iraqi Airways has announced a significant milestone, successfully transporting over 19,000 Iraqi pilgrims from local airports to Jeddah and Medina airports. This achievement highlights the airline’s capability in managing large-scale travel operations during one of the busiest periods of the year.
The General Manager of Iraqi Airways, Engineer Munaf Abdul-Munim, credited the success of this season’s pilgrimage operations to meticulous planning and seamless coordination. The comprehensive plan, led by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibis, was designed to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for all pilgrims. This plan involved close collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Civil Aviation Authority, ground services, and airport management.
The operations have adhered fully to the outlined plan, which focused on providing facilities and comfort for the pilgrims. Measures included reception and farewell halls, meals, and special care for the sick and elderly. These provisions were crucial in maintaining the well-being and comfort of the pilgrims, allowing them to focus on their spiritual journey without concerns about travel logistics.
Abdul-Munim mentioned that the air transportation of pilgrims will continue until next week, with ongoing efforts to provide the best services to the pilgrims. This continued commitment ensures that the pilgrims’ journeys remain smooth and comfortable as they fulfill their spiritual duties.
