World Family Doctor Day was celebrated by the Ministry of Health, alongside the Public Health Department’s Health Centre and Family Division. Supported by Health Minister Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, the event paid heartfelt tribute to family doctors for the life-changing care they provide to Iraqi families every day.
The ceremony brought health leaders and frontline medical staff together, to celebrate the important roles of family doctors, who provide holistic, community-based care. The event also honoured nurses, technicians and support staff for their dedication to strengthening Iraq’s healthcare system.
