Iraq’s Undersecretary for Legal and Multilateral Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Khalid Said, met with Bahrain’s Ambassador to Iraq, His Excellency Khalid Ahmed Al-Mansour, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baghdad on Thursday. The meeting emphasised both nations’ commitment to enhancing their bilateral relationship through mutual support in international nominations and collaborative efforts across various sectors.
A key focus of the discussions was the strategic alignment in supporting each other’s candidacies for international positions, aiming to advance shared interests and strengthen diplomatic influence. Additionally, both sides affirmed the importance of deepening cooperation and exchanging perspectives on current regional developments, reflecting a shared vision for stability and progress in the Middle East.
Ambassador Al-Mansour extended congratulations to Iraq for the successful hosting of the recent Arab Summit in Baghdad. He commended Iraq’s efforts in organising the summit, which he described as a significant achievement that yielded positive outcomes for the Arab world.
This engagement highlights the growing diplomatic ties between Iraq and Bahrain, as both countries seek to strengthen their partnership and contribute to a more cohesive and resilient regional framework.
