The home of the late poet Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri is opening its doors to the public to showcase photos, videos, and belongings of what is considered one of the greatest Arab poet.
Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri holds a strong presence in the cultural and literary Arab world with his poetry and philosophical experiences. He was born in the city of Najaf and found an early interest in poetry and literature. Many years later, he became an icon of words for the Iraqi people as he had a strong dedication to being a voice for the people of his country.
A bright future is ahead of the exhibition as a project of turning the house into an arts centre to organise cultural events, poetic and literary talks will take place.
