Cultural Ties Strengthened in Paris

This week, the Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, officially inaugurated the Iraqi Cultural Centre in Paris. Amongst the event attendees was Iraq’s Ambassador to France, Dr. Wadih Al-Batti.

Established under the direction of the Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, the centre hopes to strengthen Iraq’s cultural ties with the Arab world and the international community. During the ceremony, a cultural cooperation agreement was signed with the Arab World Institute, outlining their plans for long-term collaboration. Al-Badrani announced that similar plans are in the works, to open centres in Berlin, Switzerland, Beirut and Amman.
