Baghdad International Fair: Women in Business

The Baghdad International Fair dedicates booths to Iraqi businesswomen, highlighting the vital role of women in Iraq’s entrepreneurial landscape. Despite  barriers women face worldwide when wanting to take entrepreneurial roles, Iraqi women demonstrate their innovative and leadership skills. This section serves multiple purposes: empowering and recognising women’s contributions, facilitating networking opportunities, and fostering collaborations with industry peers and investors.

Through initiatives like this, Iraq aims to reaffirm its commitment to fostering an inclusive business ecosystem where women thrive, innovate, and contribute to economic prosperity.

The Iraqi Council for businesswomen is a group representing women who run independent businesses, established by Dr. Sabah Al-Tameemi, promoting positive change, sustainable development and advancing women’s contribution in Iraq’s economy.
